You will need:
- a see-through
container per child (preferrably
plastic)
- soil and sand
and water
- a worm or
two
- some leaves
and or grass for the worms to eat
What to do:
- put alternating
layers of soil and sand into plastic container (do
not pack down hard)
- add water
until soil is moist and continue to keep soil moist
- place a leaf
or two or grass on top of the sand and soil
- add one or
two worms from the garden (place in the dark)
- label containers
- clean up
- observe worms
through sides of container periodically
- be sure and
let the worms go back into a garden when finished observing
