What to do:
encourage
children to draw a large red ‘cross’ shape on the outside of their
first aid kit
show children
what the various parts of the kit are for (ie. colored water for
mercurochrome or iodine) -daub it onto the wound with a cotton
ball or with your finger, clean wounds with cotton balls, apply real
band-aids or make your own with masking tape and a cotton ball, wrap
bandages arounds arms and legs, etc.)
