You will need:
- a sheet of
orange paper for each child
- children's
scissors
- white glue
What
to do:
- pre-cut a
1 inch wide strip of paper off the end of each piece of orange paper
for the handles of the jack-o-lanterns
- encourage
children to fold their paper in half
- hold paper
with fold toward scissor edge and proceed to cut slits in the paper
side by side but not all the way to the open edges
- when children
are satisfied with their cutting, open the jack-o-lanterns up
- glue the uncut
edges together in a circle (creating a lantern shape) at the
top and bottom
- glue handle
onto the top on either side so that it loops up
- label work
and clean up
