You will need:
- assorted leaves
collected on a nature walk
- background
paper for each child
- white glue
in bottles or available in margarine lids or small plastic containers with
popsicle sticks to apply
- crayons to
add features (ie. arms, legs, tails, etc.)
What to do:
- pass out papers
to children
- allow them
to choose leaves to begin building 'leaf critters'
- encourage
children to use their imaginations to group leaves together to create people,
animals, etc.
- use white
glue to attach leaves to paper
- add features
like limbs using crayons
- label and
clean up
- lay flat to
dry (about 30-60 minutes to let white glue dry)
