"Squeak,
Piggy, Squeak!"
(blindfold
– optional)
You will need:
- a medium to large play space
- a group of children
- a blind fold (a
child’s winter scarf works well)
What to do:
- one child wears the blindfold,
the rest of the children stand close to the blindfolded child
- the blindfolded child feels
around until he touches someone, the blindfolded child says, "Squeak,
piggy, squeak"
- the caught child must say,
"Squeak, squeak" the blindfolded child must then try and identify
the caught child
- when this has been done, the
children trade places and the game continues, game ends when all children
have had a chance to be blindfolded
Special
Note:
- some young children do not
like to be blindfolded - they should not be forced!
- sometimes it is helpful to
have a mask pre-made with no eye-holes
- this is somewhat less threatening
and is intriguing too!
