House Building
(milk cartons)
What to do:
- encourage children to work in small groups to build a house from
the building blocks or other materials
- discuss houses and how important they are for shelter, how even
animals build houses
- make a point of looking at their house if the children ask you to
- be sure and praise their ‘building’ efforts
- try and encourage children to work out their own ‘structure’ problems
and to work together
- clean up when finished
